Hello, I'm
Gary Cox

I play bass guitar for the Dirt Road Band.

Like the rest of the band I enjoy playing music. The chemistry between the "Dirt Road Band" members and family is something I have never experienced before. We are family!!

One of my first inspirations of music was that of Paul McCartney (February 1964) of "The Beatles". Seeing a left handed guitar (bass) player was very exciting, until then only "lefty's" were baseball players.

I took band in school about that time, I played a second hand cornet that my Mom & Dad had bought. I played from 5th grade till my freshman year in high school then gave that up to play sports (Football & Baseball) around my freshman year in high school (1969) I got a bass guitar for Christmas . I was in heaven, but not until 1985 before I restrung the guitar to fit me (changed the strings upside down) I played in a band. We played a lot of the same music that we play in "The Dirt Road Band" today. The love for great music has been a part of my life from very young and continues today.

My wife's name is Susie, we have been married 33 years, April 12th of 2008. We have 2 beautiful daughters Tia & Tara, also been blessed with 3 beautiful grandkids, Ethan 7 1/2 ( He's soooo handsome) and Ella ( She's soooo beautiful) 3 1/2 years as well as a great son-in-law (Seth), but shhhhh don't tell him I said that. I have a new grandson his name is Rylan Cash Cox named after Johnny Cash... As Connie has said... Come on out and have a good time with us.. We enjoy playing and seeing people have a fun time.

Thanks
Gary
